Ok i have viruses. trojan peed (in my wheaties!)?

I have trojan peed (in my wheaties!) It's in an old folder that i don't use anymore. It's in the NProtect folder from an old install of Norton Systemworks. When i went to delete the folder, it said it would not delete it. It was being used by another process. I hate those frickin viruses who are so pesky that they are hard to wipe out.

anyone know of a way to do it?

You may need to try deleting in SAFE MODE if possible = http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsg...

download unlocker (that's the program name ) it will stop the process using the folder and allow you to delete it
dont eat the wheaties.
goto this microsoft website below
Sometimes these viruses will actually disable the anti-virus protection. If this is the case or if you have no anti-virus software, just reload windows.

Throw in the cd, start up the machine and get a clean start. There are ways to remove this via the registry (regedit), but you will probably cause more harm than good. You will also spend much more time than would of if you just re-installed windows.
If you do not have firefox get it now and use it instead of internet explorer so you dont get any more spyware http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.c...
